Everest EGC50 Commercial Glass & Plate Chiller, Two Solid Slide Lids, 15 cu. ft.
The Everest EGC50 is a commercial glass and plate chiller with 15 cu. ft. of storage under two locking stainless steel slide lids, holding up to 230 8 in. mugs. It measures 49 1/2 in. wide, 26 3/4 in. deep and 33 3/4 in. high, and adjusts from -10°F to 54°F, cold enough to frost glassware. This glass froster suits bars and pubs, cocktail lounges, restaurants and brewery taprooms.
Lids and Shelving
Both lids have a heavy-duty stainless steel exterior, a galvanized steel interior, 3/4 in. of polyurethane insulation and a removable ratchet lock. Inside, 5 epoxy-coated wire shelves on two levels slide horizontally, so glasses and plates are easy to load and reach. Shielded LED bar lighting with an on/off switch lights the interior with little added heat.
Refrigeration and Temperature Control
The self-contained R290 condensing unit is easily replaceable and needs no on-site brazing. It runs on R290 refrigerant with zero ozone depletion potential and a global warming potential of 3. ECM fan motors and a full-length air duct circulate cold air, a timed defrost cycle with a defrost heater keeps the coil clear, and the self-maintaining condensate pan needs no drain. A digital controller with an LED display is factory set to -4°F, adjusts from -10°F to 54°F and sounds an alarm if the compressor or condenser coil overheats.
Cabinet Construction
A heavy-duty stainless steel countertop and rails sit over a textured black vinyl exterior. The galvanized steel interior has no walls between compartments, and the cabinet carries 1 3/4 in. of high-density polyurethane insulation. Built-in caster thread receptacles accept optional 3 in. or 5 in. swivel casters or 3.5–6 in. height-adjustable legs.
