Coldline CB72 72" 4-Drawer Refrigerated Chef Base, Stainless Steel, 16 cu. ft., 33-41°F, 115V
A 72" refrigerated chef base that puts cold ingredients in drawers right under your griddle or charbroiler.
The Coldline CB72 is a 4-drawer refrigerated equipment stand for restaurant cook lines, cafes and bakeries. It holds 16 cu. ft. at 33°F to 41°F, each drawer takes 4" deep pans ((2) Full-Size), and the 1 3/4" stainless steel top carries up to 1100 lb. of countertop equipment. It rolls on pre-installed casters with brakes and plugs into a 115V NEMA 5-15P outlet on a dedicated 15 A circuit.
Measure every doorway and turn on the delivery path; the unit is 72.4" × 32.1" × 25.4" and ships in a 75" L × 35" D × 28.5" H carton.
Each drawer takes 4" deep pans ((2) Full-Size), with heavy-duty pull handles.
The 1 3/4" stainless steel top with marine edge is rated for 1100 lb.
An electronic controller holds 33°F to 41°F and defrosts automatically.
A removable installation board opens the condenser coil for monthly cleaning.
It runs on 115V, 60 Hz, single phase and draws 4.68 A. It has a NEMA 5-15P plug on an 84" cord, and Coldline requires a dedicated 15 A circuit installed by a licensed electrician. The manual says not to use extension cords.
The chef base is built to hold countertop cooking equipment: the 1 3/4" stainless steel top is rated for 1100 lb. and has a marine edge to contain spills. The Coldline sheet gives no heat rating for the top, so follow the cooking equipment's installation and clearance instructions, and keep the room below the unit's 90°F maximum ambient temperature.
Each drawer takes 4" deep pans: (2) Full-Size, per the Coldline sheet. With 4 drawers the unit holds 16 cu. ft.
The Coldline sheet lists the pan capacity but does not list pans as included, so plan on buying 4" deep food pans separately. Call us if you need them with the order.
It is 72.4" wide, 32.1" deep and 25.4" high on its casters. With a drawer pulled out it needs 58" of depth, so leave room in the aisle in front of it. The manual asks for 3" of clearance at the back for ventilation and a level, indoor location away from heat and moisture.
Clean the condenser coil about once a month; the removable installation board gives access to it. The manual says a malfunction caused by a dirty condenser or high ambient temperature voids the warranty.
USR Brands covers the Coldline CB-Series for 1 year parts and labor from delivery, plus 5 years on the hermetic compressor (the replacement part only, not labor), in the contiguous US. Food truck and farm installs are covered for parts only, and residential use is not covered.
The Coldline refrigeration warranty states that USR Brands cannot ship to or guarantee its products in CA, OR, WA, MT, WY or UT. Call us before ordering for one of those states.
