A 32" infrared upright broiler with a flue-heated warming oven, without a base.
The Southbend P32N-171 is a 32" Platinum sectional-match upright broiler for steakhouses and high-volume grills. The infrared broiler is rated 104,000 BTU on natural gas, its 24-1/2" x 28" grid rolls out for loading, and a 25" x 25" warming oven above it runs on the broiler's flue heat. It has no base of its own.

Infrared broiler
104,000 BTU infrared burners preheat in 90 seconds with no waiting between loads.
Roll-out grid
The 24-1/2" x 28" broiler grid rolls out 17-1/4" and sets at 4 heights.
Warming oven
A 25" x 25" warming oven on top uses the broiler's flue heat to hold plates and finished food. A 3,000 W electric element is optional.

- Ships in a 45.5" x 55" x 51.75" crate, 800 lbs.
- Tell us natural gas or propane and 120V or 208/240V when you order.
- Order the external pressure regulator with the broiler unless your gas line already has one sized for it.
- Inspect the shipment before signing for it and note any damage on the bill. Report concealed damage to the carrier within 15 days.
- Have a qualified gas installer connect it and follow local codes.
Questions buyers ask
Does it need electricity?
Yes: Southbend lists 120V with a 7-foot cord (1.0 A) or a 208/240V terminal block (1.0 A). The optional warming oven element needs its own 208/236V, 20 A single-phase supply.
Do I need a pressure regulator?
Yes. Southbend requires a regulated gas supply for all sectional units, and the regulator is ordered separately.
Natural gas or propane?
Tell us your gas type when ordering. Natural gas total is 104,000 BTU; propane is 104,000 BTU.
How close can it go to a wall?
Allow 6" at the sides and rear from combustible construction, 0" from noncombustible construction.
What does the warranty cover?
Southbend covers defects in parts and labor for 1 year from purchase, serviced by a Southbend Authorized Service Agency, and no longer than 18 months from the factory. Spark igniters, seals and similar wear parts are limited to 90 days, and damage from improper installation, ventilation or misuse is not covered.
