Questions buyers ask
Natural gas or propane?
Southbend sets the range for one gas at the factory, and the serial plate shows which. Tell us your gas type when ordering. The natural gas total is 64,000 BTU; propane ratings per burner and oven are in the spec table.
What gas hookup does it need?
One 3/4" female NPT connection at the rear. Minimum inlet pressure is 7" W.C. for natural gas and 11" W.C. for propane. A flexible hose must be at least 3/4" inside diameter and meet ANSI Z21.69; use a restraining device if the range is on casters.
What power does the electric oven need?
A 208V, 220V or 240V single-phase supply: 32, 31 or 27 amps. Have an electrician confirm the circuit before delivery.
How close can it go to a wall?
Keep 10" at the sides and rear from combustible construction; next to noncombustible construction the clearance is 0". On a combustible floor it must stand on 6" legs or casters. Install it under a vented hood and check local codes.
Will it fit through my door?
The range is 36.5" wide and 42.13" deep; the flue riser and shelf ship removed and are reinstalled on site. It ships in a 58" W x 48" D x 44" H crate. Measure every doorway and turn on the delivery path first.
What does the warranty cover?
Southbend covers defects in parts and labor for 1 year from purchase, serviced by a Southbend Authorized Service Agency. Spark igniters, seals and similar wear parts are limited to 90 days, and damage from improper installation or misuse is not covered.
