The Southbend Platinum P36A-XX is a 36" heavy-duty sectional range for restaurants, hotels and institutional kitchens that build a custom cooking line. The top has 4 Pyromax open burners. Below is a 45,000 BTU convection oven with a two-speed fan. Natural-gas input totals 225,000 BTU. It connects with a 1" rear gas connection or couples to neighboring sections through its 1-1/4" front manifold, and needs an external pressure regulator.

Questions buyers ask
Will sheet pans fit in the convection oven?
The convection oven interior is 26" wide, 24" deep and 14" high, with 3 racks on five-position rails and a 1/2 hp two-speed blower.
Natural gas or propane?
Southbend sets the range for one gas at the factory, so tell us your gas type when ordering. Natural gas: 225,000 BTU in total; propane: 225,000 BTU.
Do I need a pressure regulator?
Yes. All Platinum sectional units need a regulated gas supply, and Southbend's spec sheet says the pressure regulator must be ordered separately. Ask us to add it to your order.
What gas hookup does it need?
A 1" rear gas connection with a male NPT connector, or the 1-1/4" front manifold when it is coupled to other sections. Minimum supply pressure is 7" W.C. for natural gas and 11" W.C. for propane.
Does it need electricity?
Yes, for the convection oven blower: 120V with a 7-foot cord and ground plug (5.9 A), or a 208/240V single-phase terminal block (2.7 A). Tell us which when you order.
How close can it go to a wall?
13" sides and 6" rear from combustible construction, 0" from noncombustible; leave 2" behind the convection blower motor. Southbend recommends installing it under a vented hood.
Can I use large stock pots?
Southbend asks that cookware 12" or wider stay on the rear burners and never hang over the front rail, which can trap heat and damage the components there.
What does the warranty cover?
Southbend covers defects in parts and labor for 1 year from purchase, serviced by a Southbend Authorized Service Agency, and no longer than 18 months from the factory. Spark igniters, seals and similar wear parts are limited to 90 days, and damage from improper installation, ventilation or misuse is not covered.
