Equipex BRIC 3000 Panther Countertop Induction Cooker, 11" Coil, 3.0 kW, 208/240V 1-Phase
Description
A 3.0 kW single-zone induction cooker with a large 11-inch coil for stockpots, saute pans and a la carte cooking.
The Equipex BRIC 3000 is a Bioline Panther countertop induction cooker with a stainless steel case and a 4 mm vitroceramic glass top. Its 11" coil heats large pans and stockpots, and the touch panel sets 25 power levels or 110 temperature levels from 86°F to 284°F. It runs on 208/240V single phase, 13/15 A, with a NEMA 6-20P plug, and sits on the counter or semi-recessed in a cutout. It needs induction-ready, magnetic cookware.

Have a dedicated 208/240V single-phase circuit with a NEMA 6-20P receptacle ready before the cooker arrives.
11-inch coil
Equipex's large 11" coil spreads heat across stockpots and wide pans for both prep work and a la carte cooking.
Power or temperature
Set 25 power levels or 110 temperature levels from 86°F to 284°F, shown in °F or as a 4-digit power display.
Presets and timer
Two one-touch programmable presets and a 99-minute timer that shuts the zone off when time is up.
Pan quality test
Hold both preset buttons at full power to read how much power a pan draws; a reading near the maximum means a good induction pan.
Safety cut-outs
Automatic pan detection, empty pan and overheating protection, small article protection and oil auto-ignition shutoff.
Easy cleaning
Sealed touch controls on a flat glass top, and a removable metal grease filter under the unit that can go in the dishwasher.
Delivery and setup
- Inspect the carton for damage before you sign, and note any damage on the delivery receipt. Equipex says shipping damage claims are filed with the carrier, so keep the packaging.
- The cooker comes fully assembled. Peel off all protective film before you turn it on.
- Plug it into a grounded 208/240V single-phase outlet on its own circuit. The NEMA 6-20P plug is already fitted.
- Keep it away from steam, damp areas and other heat sources, and leave 2" open at the sides and rear.
- For a semi-recessed install, cut a 14-1/2" x 19-3/4" opening so the flange rests on the counter, and keep 6" of ventilated space below.
Questions buyers ask
What outlet does it need?
A grounded 208/240V single-phase receptacle for the NEMA 6-20P plug, on a dedicated circuit rated at least 25% above the 15 A maximum draw.
Can I build it into the counter?
Yes, semi-recessed. Cut a 14-1/2" W x 19-3/4" D hole so the flange rests on the counter, leave 6" of space below and keep air moving in the cabinet.
What pans work on it?
Only induction-ready, ferromagnetic pans. If a magnet sticks to the bottom, it works. Equipex recommends 3, 5 or 7 ply pans; pans smaller than about 4-3/4" are not detected.
Does it need a hood?
Equipex says generally no, but check with your local inspector.
How do I clean it?
Unplug it, wipe the glass and steel with a damp soapy cloth, and wash the metal grease filter under the unit at least once a week. Do not spray it or run it under water.
What is the warranty?
Equipex gives a limited two-year parts and labor warranty on its induction products, counted from shipment by Equipex. Pans and other non-mechanical items are covered for 90 days.
