Description

A heavy-duty countertop double waffle baker with fine-grain cast iron plates for crisp, evenly baked waffles all day.

Equipex GED10 double waffle baker, plates open, front view

The Equipex GED10 is part of the GED Twin Peaks line: two baking stations, each with its own heat zones and controls. The plate pattern is set by the model code; Equipex offers Brussels, Liege, Round, Cone, Silo and Cypress plates, Call us to confirm the pattern before you order. A heavy top plate lets the waffle rise evenly without clips, floating hinges or turning, and thermostatically controlled elements reach up to 570°F. It runs on 208/240V single phase and plugs into a NEMA 6-20P receptacle.

Power
208/240V, single phase, 3.3 kW, 12/16 A; NEMA 6-20P plug
Circuit
Equipex says to plug it into a dedicated circuit of the proper rating

The 21" height is with the lid closed; leave room above the unit to lift the top plate.

Fine-grain cast iron

Cast iron top and bottom plates spread heat evenly; rims on the plates help keep batter from running over.

No clips or turning

The heavy top plate rises with the waffle and lets steam escape, so there is nothing to lock or flip.

Up to 570°F

Thermostatically controlled elements heat up fast and recover quickly; Equipex suggests baking at 425 to 475°F.

Independent controls

Each heating zone has its own on/off switch, thermostat and indicator lights; the two stations run separately.

Wraparound drip tray

A removable stainless steel drip tray wraps around the stainless steel base for easy cleanup.

Delivery and setup

  • Ships by freight on a pallet; shipping size 48" x 40" x 35", about 145 lb.
  • Inspect the box for damage before you sign, and note any damage on the delivery receipt. Equipex says freight claims must be filed with the carrier, so keep the packaging.
  • Remove all plastic film, wipe off the factory grease, and season the cast iron plates with cooking oil at 300 to 400°F before the first bake, as the Equipex manual describes.
  • Have a dedicated 208/240V circuit with a NEMA 6-20R receptacle ready.
