An infrared vitroceramic panini press that preheats fast and wipes clean, for front-of-house and catering.
The Equipex PANINI VG is a vitroceramic panini press with one grill. Infrared elements under non-porous vitroceramic glass plates cook with combined radiant and contact heat, so it preheats and cooks faster than cast iron. Each grill has a 13.25" W x 12" D cooking surface, thermostatic control up to 570°F and a precision-balanced, spring-counterbalanced top. A removable toasting collar creates a heat chamber to cut toasting and warming times, and a programmable electronic timer stores three settings. It runs on 208/240V single phase at 3 kW.
Plan a 19.5" wide spot so the press has 2" free on each side, and check the NEMA 6-20 receptacle is within reach.
Non-porous vitroceramic plates heat with combined infrared radiant and contact heat. They need no seasoning and resist carbon build-up.
The included toasting collar forms a heat chamber that shortens toasting, warming and cooking times.

Wipe the plates with a damp sponge or plastic scrubby and soapy water at the end of the day. A built-in drip and crumb drawer pulls out.

Equipex says 10 to 15 minutes, depending on voltage and set temperature. 120V units take slightly longer than 208/240V units.
No. Metal can scratch the glass, and foil reflects the infrared heat back into the unit and can cause it to overheat and shut down. Parchment paper is fine.
Wipe them with a damp sponge or plastic scrubby and soapy water at the end of the day. Never submerge the grill. A razor scraper can remove stubborn residue now and then.
