Which Globe slicer should you buy?

  • Premium S13 / SG13 (13"): delis and high-volume kitchens slicing meat and cheese for hours a day. Automatic (A) models slice on their own for big batches. 2-year parts and labor.
  • Medium-duty G10, G12, G14: restaurants and sandwich shops slicing for part of the day. 2-year parts and labor.
  • FS12, FS14 flywheel: manual flywheel showpiece slicers for prosciutto and cured meats.
  • Chefmate C9, C10, C12 and GC512: light use and lower budgets; 1-year warranty.

Slicer belts and knives are wear items and are not covered, so plan for sharpening and belt replacement.

Which Globe mixer size do you need?

Size the mixer to your largest batch. Countertop SP05 and SP08 mixers suit cafés and small bakeries; the SP10 and SP20 bench mixers are the usual restaurant sizes; SP25 to SP80PL floor mixers serve bakeries, pizzerias and commissaries. For heavy pizza and bread dough, choose a P (pizza) model or a GSM spiral mixer, which is built for stiff dough. Globe also offers a mixer capacity calculator on its site.

Is Globe a good brand?

Globe is a long-established name in slicers and mixers, and it backs its main lines with 2 years of parts and labor, plus on-site service for gas countertop equipment. Parts for every SP mixer size are easy to find.

The trade-offs: electric cooking, Chefmate models and prep equipment carry one year, wear items are excluded, and floor fryers are not on Globe's warranty list. Match the duty rating to your volume, and compare warranty terms model by model.
