Moves the switches for a Glo-Ray strip heater off the hot heater and onto a cool wall or panel nearby.

The Hatco RMB-7S is a 9" remote control enclosure (RMB) with 2 toggle switches, 1 indicator light, prewired for use with a Glo-Ray strip heater. Hatco builds RMBs to UL standards with switches, indicator lights and wiring. Mounting the controls away from the heat of the strip heater extends the life of the controls. Use one RMB per strip heater.

Controls off the heat

Remote mounting keeps switches away from the strip heater, which extends the life of the controls.

Built to UL standards

Hatco builds the enclosure with the switches, indicator light and wiring in accordance with UL standards.

Flange mounting

A mounting flange on each end lets an electrician screw the box to a wall or panel in a cool, dry spot.

Delivery and setup

Inspect the carton for damage before you sign, and note any damage on the delivery receipt.
Have a qualified electrician install it. Hatco says supply wire sizing and overcurrent protection must meet the National Electrical Code and local codes.
Mount it in a cool, dry place away from the heat zone. Do not mount it on, under, around or above the strip heater, on a heated surface or near steam equipment.

Which voltage is it?

Hatco lists the RMB-7S for 120/208V and 120/240V strip heaters. Tell us the model and voltage of your strip heater and we will confirm the match before you order.

Which heaters does it work with?

Glo-Ray strip heaters that are set up for remote controls. Hatco allows no more than one RMB per strip heater and no more than one strip heater per RMB. Hatco also offers an online Choose Remote Box tool to pick the right RMB.

What is the switch rating?

Toggle switches are rated up to 15 amps.

Can I get it in a color?

Yes, as a factory option at purchase: Designer colors or gloss finishes for the housing. Clear anodized is standard. Non-standard colors are non-returnable.
