Marchia warranty by line
USR Brands, the company behind Marchia, publishes two Marchia warranty documents, both dated January 2026. Both give one year of parts and labor; the refrigerated floor lines also get a five-year compressor warranty.

- The term runs from the original date of delivery and covers manufacturing defects for the original purchaser. USR repairs the product or, at its discretion, gives store credit.
- The compressor warranty covers the replacement compressor only. Labor and diagnostics are not included, and a qualified technician must confirm the diagnosis.
- Not covered: misuse, improper utility connections, power fluctuations, normal wear (gaskets, light bulbs, loose hinge fasteners), corrosion from moisture, glass, components or accessories sold separately, and residential or non-commercial use.
- Farm and food truck installations get parts only, with no onsite labor.
- The warranty is valid only in the contiguous United States, and USR states that it cannot ship to, or guarantee products in, California, Oregon, Washington, Montana, Wyoming and Utah.

Marchia warranty claims, glass and support
- Claim window: USR asks for claims within 30 days of finding the defect, on its service form, with the model number, serial number, original order number, photos or videos and a description of the problem. Late claims may void the warranty.
- Broken glass on delivery: glass is not under warranty. USR advises refusing a shipment that arrives with broken glass, unless it is an easily replaced piece such as a door. Inspect every case before you sign for it.

How to read a Marchia model number
MBT48-STMBT = high-volume bakery case series · 48 = 48" wide · ST = straight glass (no suffix = curved glass)

Power, plugs and setup
Most Marchia cases plug into a standard outlet, but several need more than a 15 A receptacle. Check the plug before you order:
- Bakery and cake cases: 110-120V on a standard NEMA 5-15P plug.
- Open air coolers: USTAR, MSTAR and several MDS models use a NEMA 5-20P plug, which needs a 20 A receptacle. The MDS60 uses a NEMA 5-30P, and the MDS72 and MDS72G run on 220V.
- Gelato cabinets (GIC): NEMA 5-20P; the spec sheets ask for a dedicated 20 A circuit installed by a licensed electrician.
- Heated cases: MH cases run on 110V and the sheets ask for a dedicated 15 A circuit; MHS grab-and-go cases need 220V on a 6-15P or 6-30P plug.
- After delivery: the bakery, cake and sushi case manuals ask for about 10 cm (4") of clearance at the sides and back and a two-hour wait before the first start if the case was tilted in transit.

Who makes Marchia?
Marchia is a brand of USR Brands, Inc., a New Jersey company whose warehouse is at 17 Empire Blvd in South Hackensack, NJ. USR Brands also sells Coldline refrigeration, Cookline cooking equipment, Prepline food prep equipment, Standard Range, Southwood and Unity. According to USR, its in-house designers work closely with the factories that build its products.
USR does not name Marchia's factories, so we do not state a country of manufacture here.

Certifications, refrigerant and ENERGY STAR
- Refrigerated and frozen cases: spec sheets for the MB, MBT, TMB, MVS, MDS, MSTAR, USTAR, GIC and MSU lines list cETLus and ETL Sanitation, conforming to NSF/CSA standards.
- Heated cases: MH, MHS and MPC sheets show ETL or cETLus and ETL Sanitation marks.
- Exceptions: the HCA45 and HSA50 warmers and the CR2 refrigerator show only a CE mark, and the SA dry cases show ETL Sanitation only. Marks are listed on each product page; check with your local inspector if a US listing is required.
- Refrigerant: the refrigerated lines use R290 (propane). The MSU sushi case spec sheets list R134a.
- ENERGY STAR: no Marchia or USR Brands models appear in the ENERGY STAR commercial refrigeration or hot food holding cabinet datasets (checked October 28, 2026).

Which Marchia bakery case should you buy?
Bakery cases are the most searched Marchia line:
- Shape: curved glass (MB, MBT) gives a classic look and an open view from the front; straight glass (MBT-ST, TMB) gives a flat front, and the spec sheets list more interior volume for straight models than for curved ones of the same width.
- Shelves: MB cases have 2 adjustable glass shelves, MBT and TMB cases 3. For a small footprint or a cake shown from every side, choose an MVS vertical case.
- Width: 36" to 72" (TMB from 25"). Leave side and back clearance.

Is Marchia a good brand?
Marchia is a value line of display cases: bakery, open air, heated, gelato and sushi cases at prices below premium brands, with cETLus and ETL Sanitation listings on most floor cases, R290 refrigerant and a five-year compressor warranty on the refrigerated floor lines.
The trade-offs: one year of parts and labor is shorter than many premium brands give, USR does not ship to or service six western states, several warmers and the CR2 carry only a CE mark, and glass is never under warranty.

Pick the shape, then the width. MB curved glass cases have 2 shelves; MBT cases have 3 shelves in curved or straight (-ST) glass; the sheets list more volume for straight glass. TMB straight cases start at 25". All run on 110-120V. For cakes shown from every side, the MVS vertical cases take less floor space.
Do Marchia open air coolers need a special outlet?
Often, yes. USTAR, MSTAR and several MDS open air coolers use a NEMA 5-20P plug, which needs a 20 A receptacle. The MDS60 uses a NEMA 5-30P, and the MDS72 and MDS72G need 220V. Smaller MDS models plug into a standard 15 A outlet. The plug type is listed on each product page.
How many pans does a Marchia gelato case hold?
Marchia GIC dipping cabinets hold 7, 9, 10 or 13 pans: GIC-7 (42"), GIC-9 (51"), GIC-10 (56") and GIC-13 (70"). The -ST models have flat glass instead of curved. They hold -4 to 14°F, plug into 110-120V on a NEMA 5-20P, and the spec sheets ask for a dedicated 20 A circuit.
