Description
A 38" Southbend Platinum double-deck gas convection oven that bakes 10 full-size sheet pans at once.
The Southbend PCG100S/SD stacks two standard-depth Platinum convection ovens for restaurants, cafeterias and bakeries that need volume in a 38" wide footprint. Each deck runs on 50,000 BTU (100,000 BTU total), holds 5 racks of full-size 18" x 26" sheet pans and has its own 140°F to 500°F thermostat and 60-minute timer. In the standard 120V version each deck plugs into a regular outlet, and the pair needs one 3/4" gas connection.

Two independent ovens
Each deck has its own thermostat, timer and 50,000 BTU of non-clog Inshot burners, so you can bake at two temperatures at once.
Room for sheet pans
Each 29" wide cavity takes a full-size 18" x 26" sheet pan per rack, with 5 plated racks and 11 rack positions.
Simple standard controls
A 140°F to 500°F solid state thermostat, 60-minute mechanical timer and a 2-speed 1/2 HP fan with forced cool-down mode.
Easy to service
The control panel plugs in and slides out more than 17" from the front, so a technician can work on it without moving the oven.
Heat stays inside
Dual door seals, high-efficiency glass windows and a coved porcelain interior; the oven is Energy Star rated.

Delivery and setup
- Ships by freight carrier. See our shipping policy for delivery details, and call us for the current lead time.
- Southbend ships double-deck units stacked and interpiped unless requested otherwise, in a 57.5" x 45.5" x 81.5" crate weighing 1040 lbs. The 6" legs install on site; use a lift truck or other mechanical lift.
- Tell us natural gas or propane when you order, and whether you need 208V or 240V instead of the standard 120V. Both are set at the factory.
- Inspect the shipment before signing for it and note any damage on the freight bill. Request a carrier inspection within 15 days for concealed damage.
- Have a qualified installer connect the gas, check for leaks and level the oven, following local codes.
Questions buyers ask
Natural gas or propane?
Southbend sets the oven for one gas at the factory, and the serial plate shows which. Tell us your gas type when ordering. Both versions are rated 50,000 BTU per deck, 100,000 BTU total.
Does it plug into a regular outlet?
The standard version is 120V: each deck has its own 6' cord with a NEMA 5-15P plug and draws up to 7.9 amps. Southbend's manual calls for a 20-amp supply for a double-deck oven. 208V and 240V versions are hardwired to a terminal block instead.
What gas hookup does it need?
One 3/4" female NPT connection at the rear. Minimum inlet pressure is 7" W.C. for natural gas and 11" W.C. for propane. A flexible hose must be at least 3/4" inside diameter and meet ANSI Z21.69; use a restraining device if the oven is on casters.
Does it need a hood?
Southbend recommends installing it under a vented hood and following local fire and sanitary codes. If you connect the flue directly to an outside flue, a CSA-certified down draft diverter is required.
How close can it go to a wall?
From combustible construction keep 2" on the left side; the top, bottom and right side need 0". Leave aisle room for the doors to open and the racks to come out.
Will it fit through my door?
The oven is 38" wide and 37.25" deep, and the decks ship stacked. Southbend can also ship them as two separate ovens to bolt together on site. Measure every doorway and turn on the delivery path first, and call us before ordering if space is tight.
How much fits inside?
Each deck holds 5 racks on 11 positions, one full-size 18" x 26" sheet pan per rack, so up to 10 sheet pans across both decks.
What does the warranty cover?
Southbend covers the Platinum convection oven for 1 year on operational parts and 1 year labor from purchase, through a Southbend Authorized Service Agency. Door seals, glass windows, light bulbs and other listed wear parts are limited to 90 days, and damage from improper installation or misuse is not covered.
