Summit HRTX18SS 18" Under Cabinet Ductless Retractable Range Hood, 304 Stainless Steel, 2 LED Lights, 115V
An 18-inch, 4-inch-tall retractable hood made only for ductless kitchens where no outside vent is possible.
The Summit HRTX18SS is an 18" under cabinet range hood in 304 grade stainless steel that stands only 4" tall. The hood slides out to 18.25" deep when you cook and tucks back to 12" when you are done. It is built for recirculating use only: a cross-flow fan pushes air through two oversized aluminum mesh filters with a carbon layer and out the front louvers. Two LED lights come pre-installed, and it is hard-wired by a licensed professional.
Plan for the visor to slide out to its full depth over the cooktop.
The hood slides out on metal ball-bearing glides for cooking and tucks back to 12" deep and 4" tall.
Not a converted hood: Summit designed it only for recirculating kitchens with no outside vent.
Summit says it moves up to 40% more air through the filters than standard hoods converted to recirculating, and runs under 60 dB.
Two oversized aluminum mesh filters with carbon strips give 8 times the filter area of standard convertible hoods, per Summit.
Pre-installed LED lights over the cooking surface; front rocker switches run the light and the two fan speeds.
The HRTX18SS is 18" wide, 12" deep and 4" tall, and pulls out to 18.25" deep. Summit sizes it for slim cooking surfaces.
No. Summit built this hood only for recirculating use where there is no outside vent. It is not convertible.
115V, 60 Hz, 1.7 amps. It has no cord and is hard-wired by a licensed professional.
The two filters are user-removable. Summit sells replacements as the HRTXFILTERSET accessory.
Summit says the cross-flow fan runs under 60 dB.
Summit lists it as ETL and ETL-C listed, with a 1-year parts and labor warranty.
