Summit HRTX24SS 24" Under Cabinet Ductless Retractable Range Hood, Stainless Steel, 115V
A 4-inch-tall 24-inch hood that slides out over the cooktop to filter smoke and odors where there is no outside duct.
The Summit HRTX24SS is a 24" under cabinet range hood built only for recirculating use, made of 304 grade stainless steel with a horizontal brushed grain. The hood stays a slim 4" tall when closed and slides out over the cooktop when you cook. A cross-flow fan pushes air through two oversized aluminum filters with carbon and out of front louvers angled slightly upward, away from the cook. It is hard-wired to 115V by a licensed professional and is made in the USA.
Leave 18.25" in front of the wall for the hood when it is pulled out.
Not a converted ducted hood: Summit designed it only for recirculating kitchens with no outside venting.
Summit rates it to move up to 40% more air through the filters than standard hoods converted to recirculating, under 60 dB.
Two oversized aluminum filters with carbon strips give 8 times the filter area of standard convertible hoods; they lift out for replacement.
At 4" tall it takes little space under the cabinet and retracts flush when not in use.
High and low fan settings and two pre-installed LED lights, run by front rocker switches.
No. It is built only for recirculating use. Air passes through two aluminum filters with carbon and returns to the kitchen.
Summit lists factory cord upgrades for Canada with a NEMA 5-20P plug, PCN and PCNTopCord, and also offers ADA versions with separate controls.
115V, 60 Hz, 1.7 amps. It has no cord and must be hard-wired by a licensed professional.
It is 12" deep closed and 18.25" deep with the hood pulled out. It is 4" tall and 23.88" wide.
The filters lift out by hand. Summit sells replacements as the HRTXFILTERSET filter set.
Summit lists a 1-year parts and labor warranty.
