An 18-inch, 4-inch-tall retractable hood made only for ductless kitchens where no outside vent is possible.
The Summit HRTX18SSADA is an 18" under cabinet range hood in 304 grade stainless steel that stands only 4" tall. The hood slides out to 18.25" deep when you cook and tucks back to 12" when you are done. It is built for recirculating use only: a cross-flow fan pushes air through two oversized aluminum mesh filters with a carbon layer and out the front louvers. Two LED lights come pre-installed, and it is hard-wired by a licensed professional. A remote terminal block and wall switch cover are included, so the controls can be mounted lower on the wall, apart from the hood, per Sections 308 and 309 of the ADA Guidelines.
