Summit SINC4B242W 24" Wide 4-Zone Built-In Induction Cooktop, White Glass, 208-240V
A 24-inch built-in induction cooktop with 4 cooking zones, sized for compact kitchens in hotel suites, apartments and similar spaces.
The Summit SINC4B242W is a 4-zone induction cooktop with a white EuroKera glass top, rated 7,000 W on 208-240V. Front left and rear right 8-1/4" zones at 2,000 W; rear left and front right 6-1/4" zones at 1,500 W. It drops into a 21-7/8" W x 19-5/8" D counter cutout and must be hardwired by a professional; no cord or plug is included.
The glass is 23-1/4" wide but the cutout is 21-7/8" wide: measure the counter opening, not the old cooktop.
Induction makes heat inside the cookware. Summit says about 85% of the heat goes into the pan contents, and most of the glass stays cooler, so spills bake on less.
Front left and rear right 8-1/4" zones at 2,000 W. Rear left and front right 6-1/4" zones at 1,500 W.
The two 8-1/4" zones sit diagonally with maximum spacing, so large pots can be used side by side.
A centered slider with digital display sets the power. The timer runs up to 99 minutes and can turn the zone off or count down with an alert; stop & go pauses all zones and resumes the last settings.
Child lock, one-minute cut-off if no power level is chosen, overflow shutoff when liquid or a wet cloth touches the controls, overheat protection, automatic shutdown and a residual heat light.
Controls sit up front, so nobody reaches over a hot pan. Summit lists the design as ADA compliant.
Magnetic pans only: cast iron, steel or magnetic stainless steel. Aluminum, copper and non-magnetic stainless steel will not heat. If a magnet sticks to the bottom of the pan, it works.
208-240V, 60 Hz, 30 A, hardwired by a professional to an individual grounded circuit with a breaker. No cord or plug is included.
21-7/8" W x 19-5/8" D. The glass top is 23-1/4" W x 20-1/2" D and stands 2" tall. Mounting clips and screws come with it.
The SINC4B241B is the black-glass version. Summit lists boost on the SINC4B241B; the white SINC4B242W runs its zones at 2,000 W, 1,500 W without boost.
Summit lists a 1-year parts and labor warranty. Per the Summit warranty, labor is covered in the 48 contiguous states; outside them, parts are covered for one year.
