A 6' x 8' indoor walk-in cooler box for buyers who already have refrigeration or are buying it separately.
The Norlake FT68-X is a Fast-Trak indoor walk-in cooler for restaurants, delis, caterers and grocery back rooms. It is 72" x 96" outside and 79" (6'7") tall, with a smooth aluminum floor rated for 800 lb per sq. ft. Refrigeration is not included; size the system with your refrigeration contractor.

The box arrives as flat panels, so it does not have to pass through a doorway in one piece. Measure the room height and the path to the installation spot first.
Full 4" insulated panels
Every wall, ceiling and door panel is 4" of foamed-in-place polyurethane, rated R-25 for coolers. Foamed-in cam-lock fasteners and continuous gaskets pull the panels tight.
Coated steel inside and out
26 gauge corrosion-resistant, stucco-embossed coated steel covers every surface except the floor.
Aluminum floor included
The smooth aluminum floor carries up to 800 lb per sq. ft. of evenly spread load. For rolling carts, ask about Norlake's heavy-duty floor option.
Secure self-closing door
Deadbolt handle with key or padlock, inside safety release, two cam-lift hinges, spring closer, magnetic gasket and heated threshold.
Temperature at a glance
A digital thermometer and light switch with an exterior pilot light is built into the door frame, with an LED light above the door.
Delivery and setup
- Ships by freight as palletized panel crates. Tailgate delivery drops at your site's entrance; it does not include inside delivery or unpacking.
- Inspect the crates and check panels against the packing list before you sign for the delivery.
- Panels lock together with cam-locks turned by the supplied hex wrench. Start on a level floor.

Questions buyers ask
How much room is inside?
The walls are 4" thick, so the inside floor is about 64" x 88" (72" and 96" outside, minus two 4" walls each way).
Can I choose where the door goes?
Yes. Norlake ships two 2-foot filler panels with each door, so the installer can place it anywhere along a wall. Choose the hinge side and door size above when you order.
Can I put it outside?
No. This is an indoor model, made for a conditioned room with 30% to 60% relative humidity. Norlake makes outdoor versions of this walk-in.
What options can I add?
In the options above you can choose a 26", 30" or 36" door at no extra charge, add 30" high exterior and interior kickplates.
What does the warranty cover?
Norlake covers the panels for 15 years (replacement panels; labor and panel finish are not covered) and parts and labor for 18 months, done by an authorized service provider. Claims must reach Norlake within 30 days of a defect.
