Description
A 10' x 10' walk-in freezer with the refrigeration on the roof, so every wall is free for shelving.
The Norlake FTOF671010-CX-M is a Fast-Trak outdoor walk-in freezer for restaurants, delis, caterers and grocery back rooms. It measures 120" x 120" x 79" outside (10' x 10' x 6'7") and comes with a self-contained 1-3/4 HP Capsule Pak ECO unit on the roof that runs on R290 and plugs into a 230V NEMA 6-15P outlet, so there are no refrigeration lines to run.
Will it fit · Will it plug in
- Outside size
- 120" W × 120" D × 79" H (10' × 10' × 6'7")
- With refrigeration
- 97.8" H. The Capsule Pak adds 18.75" on the roof.
- Clearance
- Keep at least 4" clear above the Capsule Pak and 24" on each side for service and airflow, as Norlake requires.
- Door opening
- 26" W × 66" H standard (30" or 36" at no charge), self-closing, left or right hinge, placed anywhere along a wall
- Inside floor
- About 112" × 112" (outside size minus two 4" walls each way)
- Power
- Refrigeration: 230V / 60 Hz / 1-phase, NEMA 6-15P plug on a 9 ft cord, 10.7 A. Door section: 120V, field-wired to a junction box.
- Shipping weight
- 1,538 lb, delivered as panels on pallets plus the refrigeration unit
The box arrives as flat panels, so it does not have to pass through a doorway in one piece. Plan the pad and service clearance around the roof unit before delivery.
Full 4" insulated panels
Every wall, ceiling and door panel is 4" of foamed-in-place polyurethane rated R-32 for freezers. Foamed-in cam-lock fasteners and continuous perimeter gaskets pull the panels tight.
Coated steel inside and out
26 gauge corrosion-resistant, stucco-embossed coated steel covers every surface except the floor, so the box wipes down easily.
Aluminum floor included
The smooth aluminum floor carries up to 800 lb per sq. ft. of evenly spread load. If you'll roll loaded carts inside, ask about Norlake's heavy-duty floor option.
Secure self-closing door
The door has a deadbolt handle that takes a key or padlock, an inside safety release, two cam-lift hinges, a spring closer, a magnetic gasket, a double floor sweep and a heated threshold. Freezer door sections have heated air vents.
Temperature at a glance
A digital thermometer and light switch with an exterior pilot light is built into the door frame. A high-output LED light above the door stays clear of shelving.
Refrigeration on the roof
The 1-3/4 HP Capsule Pak ECO sits on the ceiling, so no evaporator hangs inside. It runs on R290, comes set at about -10°F and adjusts from -20°F to +10°F.
Delivery and setup
- Ships by freight as palletized panel crates plus the refrigeration unit.
- Tailgate delivery drops at your site's entrance; it does not include inside delivery or unpacking.
- Inspect the crates and check panels against the packing list before you sign for the delivery.
- Panels lock together with cam-locks turned by the supplied hex wrench. Start on a level floor.
- Norlake recommends a forklift or material lift and a team to set the Capsule Pak on the roof. An electrician connects the door section; check local permit rules.
- See our shipping policy for delivery details.
Questions buyers ask
How much room is inside?
The walls are 4" thick, so the inside floor is about 112" x 112" (120" and 120" outside, minus two 4" walls each way).
How much clearance does the refrigeration need?
The box is 79" tall and 97.8" with the Capsule Pak on top. Norlake asks for 4" of clearance above the unit and 24" on each side for service and airflow.
What power does it need?
The refrigeration unit has a 9 ft cord with a NEMA 6-15P plug for a 230V circuit; Norlake lists 10.7 A for this system. The door section (light, thermometer, heater wire) is wired by an electrician to its own 120V junction box.
Do I need a drain or a plumber?
On outdoor Capsule Pak ECO units the condensate drain line must be plumbed by the installer, as Norlake's manual states.
Can I choose where the door goes?
Yes. Each Fast-Trak ships with two 2-foot filler panels, so the installer can place the door anywhere along a wall. Choose a left or right hinge and a 26", 30" or 36" door in the options above when you order. If you add an interior ramp, the door location must be set at order time.
What is different about the outdoor model?
It is built for outdoor installation: the Capsule Pak outdoor unit has crankcase heaters. Norlake also offers an outdoor membrane roof system and door rain hood; ask us what your order includes and check local code.
What does the warranty cover?
Norlake's warranty covers the panels for 15 years (replacement panels; labor and panel finish are not covered) and parts and labor for 18 months, done by an authorized service provider. A 5-year compressor warranty is available as an option. Claims must reach Norlake within 30 days of a defect.
What options can I add?
In the options above you can choose a 26", 30" or 36" door at no extra charge and add 30" high exterior and interior kickplates in stainless steel or aluminum diamond tread, plus Norlake's optional 5-year compressor warranty (compressor only; labor and mileage not included).
How soon can I load food?
After installation, run the refrigeration for at least 2 hours and check that the box is down to temperature before loading product, as Norlake's manual instructs.
