How much weight can the top hold?
Serv-Ware rates the top for up to 450 lbs. Check the weight of the countertop equipment you plan to set on it, and follow that equipment's own installation and clearance instructions.
How tall is it, and will my equipment line up?
It stands 26" high on its casters, which leave 5.5" of clearance under the cabinet. The top is 50" wide and 31.9" deep, so measure the equipment that will sit on it before you order.
How much room do the drawers need?
With the drawers pulled out it needs 57.9" from the back of the unit, so leave about 26.0" clear in front. Measure every doorway and turn on the delivery path as well; it ships at 270 lbs.
What temperature does it hold?
It holds 33°F to 41°F. An electronic thermostat with a digital LED display sets and shows the temperature, it defrosts automatically every 6 hours, and condensation evaporates automatically.
What does the warranty cover?
Serv-Ware lists 1 year of parts and labor on the entire unit and 5 years on the compressor (part only), in the United States and for commercial use. Serv-Ware also sells an optional four-year extended warranty for chef bases, which can be bought up to six months after purchase with proof of sale.
Can I use it outdoors or at home?
No. Serv-Ware designs it for commercial indoor use in a climate-controlled room with good air circulation, away from heat sources, and the warranty excludes residential use.
