The Blendtec 28-601-01 is a replacement sound enclosure for Blendtec Stealth blenders. Blendtec designed the enclosure to minimize blender noise for shops where noise matters. It sits over the jar on the motor base and is wiped clean with a damp rag.

Blendtec says the Stealth 885 sound enclosure helps the blender operate at the sound level of normal conversation.
On Stealth models the enclosure lid and base can be removed for cleaning by flexing them off their mounting tabs.

Unplug the blender, then wipe the enclosure with a clean, damp rag and a mild, nonabrasive cleaner. Do not use stiff brushes or abrasive pads; they dull or scratch the surface.

On the Stealth 875, Blendtec's Enclosure Safety Mode turns the motor off if you raise the enclosure during blending; it can be enabled or disabled in Settings.
