The CookTek HTF-9500-SS35-1 is a freestanding countertop induction cooktop with two induction hobs side by side, and the Helios Touch control panel. Each hob delivers up to 3500 watts through heavy-gauge Litz wire under an easy-to-clean glass-ceramic top, and the temperature range runs from 85 to 425°F. Each hob has its own temperature or power setting. It runs on 200-240 VAC single phase and plugs into a NEMA 6-50 receptacle.
Check that a NEMA 6-50 receptacle on a dedicated 200-240V circuit is within reach of the 6 ft. cord.
Each hob has its own temperature/power mode, and the knob or touch ring selects which hob to adjust.
A 4.3" capacitive touch display with a control knob shows power percentage or temperature.
Automatic pan detection sends energy only when a pan is in place, and automatic shut-off prevents overheating.
Microprocessors watch for overheating and power-supply problems, and an integral fan, grease filter and air baffle keep intake air cool and clean.
The flat glass-ceramic top wipes clean with a mild detergent or cooktop cream; the grease filter comes out for cleaning every two weeks.
200-240 VAC, 50/60 Hz, single phase, with a NEMA 6-50P plug on a 6 ft. cord. CookTek requires a dedicated circuit, and the manual calls for a 30 A minimum breaker.
Induction-compatible (magnetic) cookware only. CookTek's troubleshooting guide lists pans under 7" across as a cause of uneven heating.
Leave 2" on the front, sides and rear. Next to a grill or stove, put a divider 6" from the unit; next to a fryer, 12".
Unplug it and let it cool, then wipe the top and body with a damp cloth and a mild cleaner. Do not use oven cleaner or immerse it. Remove and clean the grease filter every two weeks.
CookTek lists a two-year advanced replacement warranty in the U.S. and Canada. Under its Advance Replacement Program, CookTek ships a replacement unit ahead and includes a prepaid label to return the defective one.
