Edlund BDS-16 16 lb. Standard Baker's Dough Scale, Epoxy Finish, with Scoop and Weights
Description
An even balance scale that lets a bakery portion dough by weight, up to 16 lb. with 1/4 oz. steps.
The Edlund BDS-16 is a 16 lb. even balance baker's dough scale from Edlund's BDS Standard series. You set pound weights on the right platter and slide the poise along the ounce beam, which reads in 1/4 oz. steps up to 1 lb. Edlund finishes the standard BDS in FDA epoxy powder coat and sets it on rubber foot pads. It comes with an oversized footed plastic scoop, a scoop counterweight and a set of measuring weights.

Two 9" platters
Both platters are 9" across, and the scale measures 19-3/4" x 7-1/2" x 9" overall.
Calibrate in place
Edlund's calibration uses shot added inside the right balance arm, then a check with the 1 lb. weight at the 16 oz. poise mark.
Delivery and setup
- Inspect the carton for damage before you sign, and note any damage on the delivery receipt.
- Calibrate the scoop counterweight with salt before first use, as Edlund's instructions describe, and keep the scoop and counterweight together.
- Keep the pivot area free of flour; Edlund's calibration steps start with a clean pivot.

What comes with it?
Edlund ships the BDS and BDSS scales with measuring weights, an oversized footed plastic scoop and a scoop counterweight.
How do I set up the scoop counterweight?
