Edlund EDVG-12A Edvantage Meat Grinder, 0.75 HP, Forward/Reverse, 120V
A countertop meat grinder with exterior-mounted grinding parts, so there is no wormhole to clean.
The Edlund EDVG-12A is an Edvantage series meat grinder for 120V, 60 Hz service. A fan-cooled 550 W / 0.75 HP motor drives hardened gears in a sealed oil bath, and the full grinding head mounts outside the body, so cleanup is fast and there is no wormhole to scrub. This model has a die-cast aluminum grinder head and aluminum worm drive. A forward/reverse switch clears jams, and a drawer in the body holds a spare plate and knife.
All grinding parts mount on the outside of the body for quick removal and more sanitary cleanup.
Hardened gears run in a hermetically sealed oil bath, so there is no splash back or leakage inside.
A large blower fan cools the ventilated 550 W / 0.75 HP motor; a blue light shows the fan is running.
Turn the direction knob to reverse for 2 to 4 seconds to clear a jam, then let it return to forward.
A slide-out drawer keeps an extra plate and knife with the grinder.

A standard 120V, 60 Hz single-phase circuit. It ships with a UL listed cord and plug, and the motor is rated 550 W / 0.75 HP.
Edlund lists 4.5 mm plate holes for the EDVG-12A. A knife and plate ship with the grinder, and the drawer stores a spare pair.
Slowly turn the direction knob to reverse and hold it for 2 to 4 seconds, then let it return to forward. Repeat if needed. If the thermal cut-off trips, press the reset button on the back.
Unplug it, unscrew the lock ring, then remove the plate, knife and feed screw and wash all grinding parts after each use. Wipe the body with neutral detergent on a damp cloth; never pour water on the machine.
EDVG-8 has a 250 W (0.34 HP) motor and 6 mm plate. EDVG-12A and EDVG-12SS have a 550 W (0.75 HP) motor and 4.5 mm plate; the 12SS adds a stainless steel head and worm drive.
The Edlund sheet shows ETL Listed and ETL Sanitation marks and states conformance to UL 763 and NSF 8, certified to CSA C22.2 No. 195. Edlund advertises an exclusive 2-year warranty on its meat grinders.
