Edlund model SG-2C is a manual can opener with a 16" standard bar: the SG-2 is the all-stainless flagship of the G-2 series for lighter-duty kitchens. It comes on a stainless steel clamp base, so it mounts with a clamp instead of screws. The 16" standard bar suits standard can sizes; Edlund also makes long-bar versions for taller cans.

Edlund says a worn knife can cause metal slivers. Never resharpen it: the blade is reversible and should be replaced every 2,500 cans.
Remove the pull pin and knife holder, unscrew the gear, and brush away residue with the Edlund ST-93 cleaning brush. All parts are dishwasher safe; do not soak them. Dry the parts and coat the knife and gear with a light vegetable oil.
Edlund gives the SG-2 a full two-year warranty. Knives and drive gears wear in normal use and are not covered.
