Keeps the rinse water in your third sink compartment at the 180°F the NSF standard calls for, from a 9 kW heater that hangs under the sink.
The Hatco 3CS-9 mounts under the center of a 3- or 4-compartment, pot and pan or bar sink and keeps a continuous supply of 180°F sanitizing rinse water without taking up sink space. At 9 kW it is sized for a compartment of 21"-25" square, based on 140°F supply water and a 30-minute preheat. It runs on 208/240/480V (single phase or 3-phase open delta); tell us the voltage and phase of your service when you order, because Hatco builds the heater for one.
The 480V version of the 3CS-9 is larger: 8" W x 17-1/8" D x 12-5/8" H. Breakers and disconnects are mounted remote and wired by your contractor.
The heater hangs below the third compartment, so the full sink stays free for racks and ware.
A stainless steel tank has one reservoir for the submerged element and one that traps soil and empties through a side drain.
An Energy Cut-Off (ECO) shuts the heater down if water runs hotter than normal; a red light tells staff to refill and reset.
An On/Off toggle switch starts the heater and a yellow light shows when power is on.
It ships with all gaskets and fittings, and self-contained unions connect it to the sink fittings.
The 3-phase version uses open delta wiring, which draws more amps than a balanced 3-phase B model of the same kW.
The 3CS-9 is sized for a sink compartment of 21"-25" square. Hatco sizes sink heaters at 2,000 watts per square foot of vessel top, with 140°F supply water and a 30-minute preheat.

It mounts under the center of the third compartment. You cut two 2" holes in the sink bottom using the full-size template, and the heater attaches to the supplied plumbing fittings with self-contained unions. The drain has a 3/4" hose connection.
Yes. Hatco states the 3CS meets the NSF standard of 180°F for dish sanitizing. The series carries UL, cUL and NSF certification.
Options must be ordered with the heater: an all stainless steel body and base, a built-in temperature monitor or a temperature light (not both), and a security package with Torx screws and a control cover. A flush kit with hose, stopper and adapter is sold as an accessory.
Hatco gives 1 year parts and labor, and the 3CS tank has 1 year parts and labor plus 4 more years parts only. Failures caused by lime or sediment buildup are not covered.
