Hatco 3CS2-9B Hydro-Heater Sanitizing Sink Heater, 9 kW, 208V 3-Phase, Digital Control
Holds the third compartment of your sink at sanitizing temperature with a 9 kW Hydro-Heater whose elements never touch the water.
The Hatco 3CS2-9B Hydro-Heater mounts under the center of a 3- or 4-compartment, pot and pan or bar sink and keeps a continuous supply of 180°F sanitizing rinse water. Its heating elements are wrapped around the outside of the flow tube, which cuts sediment and lime buildup, and water circulates by natural convection. An electronic controller with a digital display holds the setpoint. This 9 kW model is sized for a 21"-25" square compartment and runs on 208V balanced 3-phase.
Breakers and fused disconnects are mounted remote and wired by your electrical contractor.
The heating elements wrap the outside of the flow tube, so they do not sit in the water. Hatco says this reduces sediment and lime buildup and gives longer life.
An electronic controller with a digital display keeps the water at the setpoint you choose.
A low-water cut-off system is standard, with a convenient drain outlet and clean-out caps.
The heater mounts below the center of the third compartment, leaving the whole sink free.
It ships fully assembled with gaskets and fittings; self-contained unions connect it to the sink fittings.
The 3CS2-9B is sized for a compartment of 21"-25" square, at 2,000 watts per square foot of vessel top with 140°F supply water and a 30-minute preheat.
It is hardwired, balanced 3-phase. 208V: 25 A, 10 AWG wire, 40 A breaker.
Hatco rates the 3CS2 for 180°F sanitizing rinse water, and its series page describes circulating water between 180°F and 190°F. The digital controller holds the setpoint.
The elements are wrapped around the outside of a tubular water chamber instead of sitting in the water. Hatco says this reduces sediment and lime on the element and extends its life.
Options must be ordered with the heater: an all stainless steel body and base, an auto-fill solenoid, a remote mounted control and a security package with Torx screws and a control cover. A flush kit with hose, cleaning brush, stopper and adapter is sold separately.
Hatco's 3CS2 manual lists a one year parts and labor warranty, with 24/7 parts and service assistance in the US and Canada. Failures from lime or sediment buildup are not covered.
