Hatco C-18 Compact Electric Booster Water Heater, 18 kW, 6 Gal., 208/240/480V 1- or 3-Phase
A space-saving electric booster that heats dishwasher final rinse water to 180°F for sanitizing and flash-drying.
The Hatco C-18 is an 18 kW Compact Electric Booster Water Heater. It supplies the 180°F final rinse water a high-temperature dishwasher needs, recovering 181 gallons per hour at a 40°F rise or 103 gph at a 70°F rise. The 6-gallon Castone-lined tank stands next to the dishwasher on 6" legs or slides under a dishtable on accessory brackets. Hatco builds each unit for one voltage and phase: 208, 240 or 480V, single or three phase (no 208V three phase).
Install the booster as close to the dish machine as you can. Water over 3.0 grains of hardness per gallon must be treated and softened.
18 kW heats 181 gph at a 40°F rise or 103 gph at a 70°F rise, for the 180°F final rinse.
The 6-gallon tank has a Castone lining, a 150 psi working pressure and a 300 psi hydrostatic test, with fiberglass insulation to cut heat loss.
Temperature/pressure relief valve, pressure reducing valve with bypass and two temperature/pressure gauges come factory installed.
A high-temperature limit (ECO) and a low-water cut-off guard against overheating and element burnout.
Front panels swing away to reach the low-water cut-off, control fuses, transformer, probes and elements.
Stands on the standard 6" legs, or hangs under a dishtable on accessory slide brackets (QSBOOSTERBRKT).

Hatco builds the C-18 for one voltage and phase: 208V 1-Ph: 86.6 A, 125 A breaker; 240V 1-Ph: 75 A, 100 A breaker; 480V 1-Ph: 37.5 A, 50 A breaker; 240V 3-Ph: 43.4 A, 60 A breaker; 480V 3-Ph: 21.7 A, 30 A breaker. Only Hatco 6, 7 and 9 kW Compact models can be field converted, so order the exact voltage and phase you have.
Yes. Order the slide brackets (QSBOOSTERBRKT); rails are welded to the underside of the table and the booster slides on. Make sure the table can carry the booster full of water.

Treat water over 3.0 grains of hardness per gallon. Hatco recommends its Blended Phosphate Water Treatment System (QSWATERTREAT) for electric boosters; lime and sediment failures are not covered.
The Castone tank has a 10-year limited warranty: 1 year parts and labor plus 9 years parts-only on the tank.
