A space-saving electric booster that lifts dish machine rinse water to the 180°F needed to sanitize, with 57 kW of heat for up to 573 gallons per hour at a 40°F rise.
The Hatco C-57-480-3-QS is the 57 kW Compact booster built for 480V three phase power. Hatco lists this voltage and phase in its Quick-Ship program. It keeps 6 gallons of water in a Castone-lined, fiberglass-insulated tank and delivers 573 GPH at a 40°F rise or 326 GPH at a 70°F rise. It sits next to the dish machine on 6" legs or slides under a dishtable on optional brackets.
Smallest outside dimension is the 18" width; electrical knockouts (1-1/2" and 2") are on the left side and bottom.
57 kW of metal-sheathed elements recover 573 GPH at a 40°F rise and 326 GPH at a 70°F rise. Match it to the rinse GPH of your dish machine.
The 6-gallon tank is Castone lined, wrapped in fiberglass insulation, rated for 150 psi working pressure and tested at 300 psi.
Each unit ships with a temperature/pressure relief valve, a pressure reducing valve with high-pressure bypass, two temperature/pressure gauges, a high-limit switch and a low-water cut-off.
Stand it next to the dish machine on 6" legs, or weld slide rails under the dishtable and hang it on Hatco slide brackets.
An on/off switch doubles as reset. A power light shows it is on; the error light flashes for a probe or low-water fault and stays solid when the high limit trips.
Swing-away front panels hold the low-water cut-off, control fuses and transformer, so a tech reaches probes and elements quickly.
Find your machine's final rinse GPH and the rise from your incoming hot water to the rinse temperature. The C-57-480-3-QS supplies 573 GPH at a 40°F rise and 326 GPH at a 70°F rise. If you need more, Hatco notes two boosters can be plumbed in series.
The C-57-480-3-QS runs on 480V three phase and draws 68.6 amps. Hatco lists a 90 amp breaker or fuse size. It is hardwired to a disconnect, with copper wire only.
A copper hot water line from your main water heater at 115°F to 145°F, never over 155°F. Inlet and outlet are 3/4" NPT. Water harder than 3 grains per gallon must be softened first.
Hatco covers the electric booster tank for 1 year parts and labor plus 9 more years parts only. Components not listed separately carry 18 months. Failures from lime, sediment, chemical attack or freezing are excluded.
The Compact spec sheet shows the cULus and NSF marks, and the heater is built to UL 1453. It is made in the USA.
