Hatco CSSBR-3618 Remote Built-In Simulated Stone Cold Shelf with Condensing Unit, 36" x 18" Usable, 120V
A built-in simulated stone cold shelf with a separate condensing unit, so fabricators can place the refrigeration where the counter design needs it.
The Hatco CSSBR-3618 is a remote cold shelf with a 36" x 18" Swanstone simulated stone cooled surface that mounts from below, flush to the countertop. The 1/5 HP condensing unit, control box and TXV valve ship loose for field installation, with up to 50 ft. of refrigerant line between condensing unit and shelf. The condensing unit uses R-513A and has a sight glass, service valves, dryer/filter and receiver for service.
Measure the counter opening before ordering: the cutout sizes above are what the shelf drops into.
The 1/5 HP R-513A condensing unit ships loose, with a sight glass, service valves, dryer/filter and receiver. Hatco ships the condenser without refrigerant charge.
A patented thermal break cuts condensation and cold transfer onto the countertop around the shelf.
Foodsafe Swanstone simulated stone in Ash Gray, with Birch or Ice at no charge when ordered. It matches the Hatco GRSSB heated stone shelves.
An electronic temperature control box with on/off switch comes on a 4 ft. lead wire, so it can mount on the cabinet front away from the shelf. Auto-defrost can be set on site.
Cut 36.375" wide x 18.375" deep with 3/8" corner radii. The overall shelf with brackets is 39" x 21".
120V, 60 Hz, single phase, 300 W and 3.8 A. Hatco lists no cord and plug, so an electrician wires the supply into the control box, which then powers the condensing unit.
Up to 50 ft. of refrigerant line between the condensing unit and the shelf. Leave at least 2" between the condensing unit and any combustible surface.
The CSSBR condensing unit uses R-513A. Hatco ships it without refrigerant, so the installing technician charges the system on site.
At order time only: Birch or Ice Swanstone instead of standard Ash Gray at no charge, and an additional 4-year parts-only compressor warranty. Non-standard colors are non-returnable.
Hatco's remote cold shelf manual states a standard one year parts and on-site labor warranty, with 24/7 parts and service help in the US and Canada. An extra 4-year parts-only compressor warranty can be bought with the unit.
