Turns a 48" x 24" section of a granite or quartz countertop into a cold serving surface with no cutout in the stone.
The Hatco CSUP-48-S is an R-290 cold shelf that mounts directly against the underside of the countertop. Its anodized aluminum shelf chills through the stone, so pre-chilled food on the counter stays cold while the counter keeps a seamless look. The R-290 condensing unit is attached under the shelf, and a remote-mountable electronic temperature control box with an on/off switch sits on a 4 ft lead wire. It runs on 120V and plugs into a standard outlet with its 6 ft cord and NEMA 5-15P plug.

The aluminum shelf presses against the underside of the countertop and chills a 48" x 24" area through it, with no cutout in the top.
The attached condensing unit uses natural R-290 refrigerant with a 1/2 hp compressor and 4,318 BTU/hr heat rejection.
An electronic temperature control box with power on/off switch and auto-defrost setting comes on a 4 ft lead wire.

Thermal mastic caulk and a single-use applicator come with the shelf to bond it to the countertop.
No. The shelf mounts against the underside of the countertop and cooling transfers through it. A cutout is only needed in plywood or other material under the top, if there is any.
Hatco approves granite and quartz up to 1-3/16" thick, Swanstone, and certain stainless steel or aluminum surfaces. Contact Hatco for any other material.
A 120V, 60 Hz outlet. Hatco rates it at 560 W and 9.3 A, with a 6 ft cord and NEMA 5-15P plug.
Make sure food and pans are pre-chilled to a food-safe temperature first. The shelf keeps pre-chilled food cold; it is not designed to chill warm food down.

Hatco covers it under its limited warranty, 18 months for components not listed separately. An additional four-year parts-only warranty on the compressor can be added at purchase.
