Hatco CWBX-5 Remote Refrigerated Drop-In Cold Well, Well and Control Panel Only, 5 Full-Size Pans
A 5-pan cold well without its own compressor, built to run off a condensing unit you already have or supply.
The Hatco CWBX-5 is a remote refrigerated drop-in well for 5 full-size 12" x 20" pans. It comes with a solenoid valve attached to the well, a control panel on 9 ft. probe wires and a TXV valve shipped loose. There is no condensing unit: it connects to a customer-supplied one, sized for an evaporator load of 1530 BTU/hr.
Measure the counter: the cutout sizes above are what the well drops into, and the counter must be level for draining.
No condensing unit is included, so several wells can share a central or existing condensing system.
The top-angled inside wall gives more coil surface and lets cold air blanket the pans. NSF 7 approved cold wall construction keeps food cold without drying it out.
The electronic controller runs auto-defrost, programmed at the customer location. The setpoint is adjustable on the control panel.
Insulated sides and bottom hold the cold, and a 1" NPSM brass drain makes cleaning easier.
69.125" to 70" wide and 25.19" to 26" deep. The counter must be level so the well drains.
One sized for the well's evaporator load of 1530 BTU/hr, supplied by you. It connects with 3/8" O.D. liquid and suction lines, the included TXV valve and the solenoid valve on the well.
The solenoid valve draws 12 watts, 0.1 amp at 120V, 60 Hz. Your electrician wires it through the control box.
CWBX is the well and control panel only. CWBR-5 adds a Hatco condensing unit, shipped loose.
