The Hatco FR-9-208-3-QS is a 9.0 kW FR Food Rethermalizer / Bain-Marie Heater. It mounts under a sink or holding vessel and circulates water continually so the bath has no cool spots. Debris settles in a separate sump, away from the heating element, and each chamber has its own drain for cleaning. This is the Hatco Quick-Ship stock version, built for 208V three phase open delta and supplied without the low-water cut-off option.
Water over 3.0 grains of hardness per gallon must be treated and softened before it reaches the heater.
One reservoir holds the permanently submerged element; the other traps soil, which you empty through its own drain.
An external thermostat adjusts water temperature from 140°F to 190°F. Lights show power on and water up to temperature.

Hatco calls for one FR per bain-marie up to 6 ft. long and at least two above 6 ft. Size it at a minimum of 750 W per sq. ft. of vessel top for a bain-marie or steam table, or 2,000 W per sq. ft. for a rethermalizer.
The FR is NSF listed for construction only. Because it is one part of a larger appliance, the vessel maker must have the complete rethermalizer tested and listed to NSF Standard 4.
