The Hatco GRAHL-48D3 is a Glo-Ray high watt dual aluminum infrared strip heater with lights: two 48" warmers mounted side by side with a 3" spacer between them, 15" deep and 2-1/2" high. Pre-focused heat from metal-sheathed elements covers the whole holding surface, and 4 coated shatter-resistant incandescent lights show off the food. It is rated 2,440 W. It is built for 120, 120/208 or 120/240V single phase, chosen when you order. A toggle switch on the chef's left side is standard, and power comes in through 3 ft. of conduit with leads at the server's right.
On 120/208V and 120/240V units the lights run on a 120V circuit and the heat on 208V or 240V, so plan the wiring before install.
The pre-focused heat pattern spreads heat evenly with no cold spots, so food holds at serving temperature longer.
4 coated, shatter-resistant incandescent bulbs light the holding area and protect food if a bulb breaks. Halogen and Chef LED bulbs are options.
Two warmers joined by a 3" spacer cover a 15" deep holding area from one 48" long unit.
2,440 W of infrared heat lets you mount it higher, at 14" to 18" above the food.
A reinforced wire guard protects staff without changing the heat pattern of the metal-sheathed element.
Choose 120, 120/208 or 120/240V single phase when you order. It draws 20.3 A at 120V, 12.6 A at 120/208V and 11.2 A at 120/240V. On 120/208V and 120/240V units the lights run on 120V and the heat on 208V or 240V.
A toggle switch (max. 15 A) on the chef's left side is standard. Remote toggle switches, remote infinite switches or no control (with a Hatco RMB2 box) can be ordered instead. Hatco notes that 120V units of this size may need additional switches, remote only.
It is the spacer between the two warmers. Hatco builds the GRAHL-48D with a 3" spacer (standard, 15" deep) or a 6" spacer (18" deep). This listing has the 3" spacer, 15" deep.
Hatco recommends 14" to 18" above the food for high watt dual units. Do not install it in combustible surroundings. With built-in switches keep 10" to the surface below, use a pass-through location (no back wall) and leave 1" below an overshelf.

Clear anodized aluminum is standard; the housing can be ordered in Designer colors Warm Red, Black, Gray Granite, White Granite, Navy Blue, Hunter Green, Antique Copper and Radiant Red, or gloss Glossy Gray, Bold Black, Gleaming Gold and Brilliant Blue. Non-standard colors are non-returnable.
Hatco's limited warranty runs 18 months from shipment or registration, whichever is later. Metal-sheathed food warmer elements have 1 year parts and labor plus 1 more year parts only. Coated light bulbs are not covered. Hatco also offers 24/7 parts and service assistance in the US and Canada.
