The Hatco GRAIH-18 is a Glo-Ray high watt Infra-Black strip heater. Its black emitter gives off a solid panel of uniform heat with no hot spots, which suits close-range food holding. It is 18" wide, 6" deep and 2.6" high. It is rated 350 W and built for 120, 208 or 240V single phase, chosen when you order. It has no switch of its own: Hatco requires either a remote control box (RMB) or an attached thermostatic control box with indicator lights (TCBI), ordered separately.
Budget for the control box: the heater is not usable without an RMB or TCBI.
The Infra-Black emitter gives even, precise heat across its face and eliminates hot spots at close range.

No. Hatco requires either a TCBI thermostatic control box with indicator lights, attached on the chef's left side, or a remote RMB box. Order one RMB per heater, or an RMB2 to run several warmers from one box.
Choose 120, 208 or 240V single phase when you order. It draws 2.9 A at 120V, 1.7 A at 208V or 1.5 A at 240V and is hardwired through 3 ft. of conduit with leads.
Hatco recommends 4" to 10" from element to food, with a target width of 9.5". With a TCBI keep 4" to the surface below, no back wall and 1" below an overshelf; with an RMB keep 4" to the surface, 3" to the wall and 0" below an overshelf.
Yes, at the time of purchase only. Clear anodized aluminum is standard; the housing and RMB box come in Designer colors Warm Red, Black, Gray Granite, White Granite, Navy Blue, Hunter Green, Antique Copper and Radiant Red, or gloss Glossy Gray, Bold Black, Gleaming Gold and Brilliant Blue. Non-standard colors are non-returnable.
Hatco's limited warranty runs 18 months from shipment or registration, whichever is later. Metal-sheathed food warmer elements have 1 year parts and labor plus 1 more year parts only. Coated light bulbs are not covered. Hatco also offers 24/7 parts and service assistance in the US and Canada.
