Two Glo-Ray heaters joined by a 3" spacer give a deeper, 15" wide band of heat over a 18" pass or buffet line.
The Hatco GRAL-18D3 is the 18" Glo-Ray dual aluminum infrared strip heater (GRAL-18D) built with the standard 3" spacer between its two heating strips. It puts out 620 watts with 2 display lights, and the housing measures 18" W x 15" D x 2-1/2" H. Pick 120V, 120/208V or 120/240V single phase in the voltage dropdown.
Measure the pass: the housing is 18" wide and 15" deep, and it is hardwired, so plan an electrician.
The Glo-Ray heat pattern spreads heat across the holding surface with no cold spots and keeps food at serving temperature longer.
2 coated, shatter-resistant 60 W incandescent bulbs, one per foot, light the food and guard it from bulb breakage.
Two heater strips with a 3" spacer between them cover a 15" deep area.
The 18" extruded aluminum housing does not sag, and the reflector does not blacken, so the heat pattern stays consistent.
A metal-sheathed heating element sits behind a reinforced wire guard that does not change the heat pattern.
Designer colors, gloss finishes, sneeze guards, halogen bulbs, extra lamps, remote or infinite switches and stands are chosen at purchase.
It draws 620 W: 5.2 A at 120V, 3.4 A at 120/208V or 3.1 A at 120/240V, single phase. On 120/208V and 120/240V units the lights run on 120V and the heat on 208V or 240V.
Hatco recommends 10" to 14" above the food. Use adjustable angle brackets under a shelf, chain suspension or tubular stands.
The spacer sits between the two heater strips. This listing is the 3" spacer version, 15" deep overall; the other spacer size is 18" deep.
A toggle switch is standard. Remote infinite switches (max. 12.2 A) or remote toggles can be ordered, or no control with an RMB2 box.
Hatco covers the metal-sheathed element for 1 year parts and labor plus 1 more year parts only, and other parts for 18 months. Bulbs are not covered. 24/7 parts and service help is available in the US and Canada.
