A 84-inch infrared strip heater with built-in display lights that keeps plated food hot at the pass.
The Hatco Glo-Ray GRAL-84 is the standard watt, 84" member of the GRAL family. A pre-focused metal-sheathed element spreads 1,920 watts of infrared heat evenly across the holding area, while 7 coated, shatter-resistant incandescent bulbs light the food. The extruded aluminum housing is 9" deep and 2.5" high and does not sag. It runs on 120, 120/208 or 120/240 volts single phase; choose the voltage when you order.
Measure the shelf or pass: the heater is 84" long and 9" deep, and the conduit leaves from the server's right end.
The pre-focused heat pattern covers the full 84" length with no cold spots, so food holds its serving temperature longer.
7 coated, shatter-resistant incandescent bulbs light the food and protect it from glass if a bulb breaks.
The extruded aluminum housing stays straight, and the reflector does not blacken, so the heat pattern stays consistent.
A built-in toggle switch sits on the chef's left side, the light side of the unit. Remote toggle or infinite controls are options.
A reinforced wire guard protects the operator without blocking the heat.
Four stainless steel shelf mounting tabs come standard. Stands, angle brackets and chain kits are offered for other setups.
Hatco builds the GRAL-84 for 120, 120/208 or 120/240 volts, single phase. The draw is 16 A at 120V, 10.7 A at 120/208V and 9.8 A at 120/240V. Hatco notes that amps vary with configuration.
No. It is hardwired through 3' of flexible conduit. Hatco offers the cord and plug set only on 120V models up to 72".
Hatco recommends 8" to 11" above the food for standard watt models. Near combustibles keep 10" to the surface below, 3" to the back wall and 1" below an overshelf.
7 incandescent display bulbs as standard. Extra bulbs (up to two per foot less one), halogen bulbs or a no-bulb version on 120V can be ordered.
Clear anodized aluminum is standard. Designer colors and gloss finishes can be ordered at the time of purchase; Hatco notes that non-standard colors are non-returnable.
Hatco covers metal-sheathed food warmer elements for 1 year parts and labor plus 1 more year parts only, and other parts for 18 months. Light bulbs are not covered.
