Hatco GRSBF-36-S Glo-Ray Built-In Flush Top Heated Shelf, 37-1/2" x 25-1/2", 120V 950W
A flat-top heated shelf built into the counter that keeps plated or panned food hot at the pass or on the buffet line.
The Hatco GRSBF-36-S is a Glo-Ray built-in heated shelf that drops into a 36-1/2" to 36-3/4" wide countertop opening. Its flat hardcoat aluminum top has no recessed lip, so plates, platters and pans move on and off the hot surface easily. A blanket-type element under the whole surface spreads 950 W of heat evenly, and fiberglass insulation keeps it at the top. The control box with thermostat and lighted power switch hangs on a 36" conduit and plugs into 120V with a 6 ft. cord.
Measure the cutout carefully: Hatco allows only 1/4" of play, 36-1/2" to 36-3/4" wide.
A blanket-type foil element covers the whole 36-3/32" W x 24" D heated area, so food holds at the same temperature across the shelf.
Flush hardcoat aluminum surface; a stainless steel surface is a no-charge option at order (GRSBF-SS).
The control box has an adjustable thermostat and a lighted On/Off rocker switch. Hatco allows 30 minutes to reach operating temperature.
A 3/4" flanged edge sits on the countertop, and Z-brackets clamp the unit from below in counters up to 1-1/4" thick.
Hatco says the next larger size GRA or GR2A strip heater fits over the shelf for heat from above and below.

Yes. It can be mounted under the counter, on a surface or panel, or recessed, up to 36" from the unit on the standard conduit. Hatco also offers flush mount control boxes; 6 ft. and 10 ft. conduits work with the flush mount ITC box only.
Hatco recommends a metallic countertop. For other materials, confirm with the counter maker that the material is rated for long periods at 200°F. Hatco does not cover counter damage.
Turn it off, unplug it and let it cool, then wipe it with a damp non-abrasive cloth. Do not use a water jet or steam, and do not slide rough-bottomed pans across the hardcoat top.
Hatco repairs or replaces defective parts for 18 months from shipment or registration, whichever is later. Register within 90 days. 24/7 parts and service help is available in the US and Canada.
