A heated stone surface built into the counter, so buffet food stays hot on a top that blends with the rest of the serving line.
The Hatco GRSSB-7218 is a Glo-Ray built-in rectangular heated simulated stone shelf with a 72" x 18" stone surface and an attached trim ring, 73.625" x 19.625" overall. A blanket-type foil element heats the entire food-safe surface evenly. The standard stone is Swanstone Ash Gray. A remote control box with an adjustable thermostat and lighted rocker switch connects through 3 ft. of conduit and plugs in with a 6 ft. cord and NEMA 5-20P plug; it runs on 120V, 1860 watts.
Cut the opening to Hatco's cut-out chart and plan the control box location within reach of the 3 ft. conduit.
The simulated stone top drops into the counter with a trim ring. Swanstone Ash Gray is standard; Birch, Ice, and Dekton Rem, Domoos and Soke are options.
A blanket-type foil element creates uniform heat across the entire simulated stone surface.
An adjustable thermostat and lighted rocker switch sit in a control box on 3 ft. of conduit, away from the heat.
Flush mount thermostatic or electronic (ITC) control boxes, Designer color bezels, 6' or 10' conduit for ITC, a 90° conduit connector and a 1/2" recessed top.
For any GRSSB size, select the next larger GRA or GR2A strip heater. The GR2A leaves about 4" of space.
Hatco lists a cut-out of 72.62" to 72.87" wide and 18.62" to 18.87" deep. The trim ring brings the overall size to 73.625" x 19.625".
A 120V NEMA 5-20 receptacle. The 6 ft. cord leaves the control box; the shelf draws 1860 watts, 15.6 amps.
Hatco recommends a metal countertop. For other materials, check that the top can take temperatures up to 200°F. Hatco is not responsible for counter damage caused by heat from the warmer.
Yes. The recessed top option sets the heated stone 1/2" below the surrounding surface. It is ordered at time of purchase.
Hatco says to select the next larger size GRA or GR2A strip heater. The GRA fits tight to the frame; the GR2A leaves about 4" of space.
