A heated black glass surface built into the counter, so food can sit right on the glass at the pass or on the buffet.
The Hatco HBGB-2418 is a built-in heated base glass shelf with a 24" x 18" black ceramic glass top and an attached trim mounting ring, 25.625" x 19.625" overall. The thermostatically controlled heated base spreads uniform heat across the entire glass, and NSF approval allows food to be placed directly on it. A remote control box with the thermostat and lighted on/off rocker switch connects through 3 ft. of conduit, and a 6 ft. cord with NEMA 5-15P plug runs it on 120V, 425 watts.
Cut the opening to Hatco's cut-out chart and plan the control box location within reach of the 3 ft. conduit.

Hatco lists a cut-out of 24.625" to 24.875" wide and 18.625" to 18.875" deep. The trim ring brings the overall size to 25.625" x 19.625".

Hatco recommends a metal countertop. For other materials, check that the top can take temperatures up to 200°F. Hatco is not responsible for counter damage caused by heat from the warmer.
Hatco says the next larger size GRA or GR2A strip heater will fit over the top. The GRA fits tight to the frame; the GR2A leaves about 4" of space.
Hatco's limited warranty runs 18 months from shipment or product registration, whichever is later. Hatco excludes glass components from its warranty, and glass damage or breakage from misuse is not covered.
