The Hatco HCSSBFR-24-F is a remote hot/cold built-in simulated stone shelf with a 24" x 15-1/2" Swanstone surface, bottom mounted, flush with the countertop. It heats or chills from one footprint and changes modes in as little as 30 minutes. This R version ships with a remote 1/5 HP condensing unit that uses R-513A refrigerant, plus an unattached control box and TXV, so the fabricator can place the condenser where it fits best in the cabinet.
Plan the condensing unit location and ventilation before the shelf arrives; refrigerant lines are brazed in the field.
The same shelf switches between heated and chilled display. Hatco rates the change at as little as 30 minutes, so one footprint covers breakfast, lunch and dinner menus.
The control box has a power switch and separate HOT and COLD digital controllers. Cold setpoints run 10°F to 50°F and hot setpoints 65°F to 192°F; factory presets are 25°F and 180°F.
A thermal break around the shelf reduces condensation and temperature transfer onto the countertop next to it.
The Swanstone simulated stone surface mounts from below, flush with the countertop. Ash Gray is standard; Hatco notes that stone patterns vary.
The 1/5 HP condensing unit ships loose with sight glass, service valves, dryer/filter and receiver for easier service. Lines can run up to 50 ft.
The electronic temperature control box ships loose with a 4 ft. lead wire for remote mounting on a vertical surface, outside the heat zone.
