Holds four full-size pans of hot food at serving temperature in one insulated drop-in unit, each well with its own thermostat.
The Hatco HWBI-4D is an insulated drop-in modular heated well with 4 full-size wells for 12" x 20" pans, built in one 57.5" wide unit for a steam table or serving counter. Each well has its own thermostat dial and lighted on/off switch in a remote control box on a 6 ft. flexible conduit. Every well has its own 3/4" NPT drain. It is rated 4815 watts and is ordered in 208 or 240V, single phase or optional three phase.
Mount the remote control box on a vertical wall at the front of the unit; the controls are wired to match each well.
The insulated stainless and aluminized steel housing holds heat in each well, and Hatco says it gives longer holding times with more accurate temperatures.
Each well has its own thermostat dial and lighted on/off rocker switch, so you can hold different foods at different settings.
Each well takes one full-size pan, two half-size or three third-size pans with adapter bars, or round 4 or 7 qt. inserts with an adapter top.
A 3/4" NPT brazed drain fitting with a flat screen keeps pans level and makes the well easy to empty and clean.
Hatco designed the well so the element or thermostat can be changed quickly if needed.
It is rated 4815 watts. Single phase draws 23.2 A at 208V or 20.1 A at 240V; the no-charge three-phase option draws 15.8 A at 208V or 13.7 A at 240V. It is hard wired as standard; a factory cord (NEMA 6-30P) is optional on single-phase, single-control units.
Cut 56-1/8" to 56-3/8" wide by 22-1/4" to 22-1/2" deep for the standard EZ locking tabs. The control box needs its own 12-1/2" x 4-3/4" cutout. Hatco designs the unit for a non-combustible, preferably metal, countertop.
Yes. Hatco designs the wells for wet or dry use. Let the unit cool to room temperature before you switch between wet and dry, and never let it run dry when it is set up for water.
No. Food pans, adapter bars, adapter tops and pan support bars are sold separately. Hatco also offers heated well covers that turn the wells into a heated shelf.
Hatco offers a 3/4" NPT high-temperature ball or gate valve for units with individual drains, and a remote drain handle for 3/4" drains.
Yes. One control box is standard. Split control boxes are an option on 4-, 5- and 6-well units in the US, not in Canada, and must be chosen at order.
Hatco's limited warranty lists heated well elements for the HW, HWB and HWBI series at 1 year parts and labor plus 1 more year parts only. Parts not listed carry Hatco's standard 18-month limited warranty. Register the unit with Hatco to avoid delays in warranty coverage.
