The Hatco HZMH-36D is a horizontal dual shelf Heated Zone Merchandiser for convenience stores, cafeterias, concessions and self-serve hot food counters. Spot-On Technology turns the overhead ribbon heat on only when product is in a zone, while the base heat goes from an energy-saving mode to the set temperature. Each shelf has 4 heat zones. Hatco designs it for short-term holding of hot packaged food. It runs on 120/208-240V and comes in Designer Black.
The cord leaves the unit at the left rear on the server side. Plan the outlet on that side of the counter.
Overhead heat turns on only when product is present in that zone, which cuts energy use.
Hatco states the ribbon elements reach temperature in less than 10 seconds.
Each heated shelf has separate front and rear heating elements and goes from energy-saving mode to the set temperature.
An LCD controller scans and displays the settings of each zone.
Channel dividers are held by magnets to leave more heated surface. 8 divider rods are included.
Hinged glass side panels swing out for easy cleaning.
120/208-240V at 2,800 watts and 11.7 amps through a NEMA L14-20P plug on a 6 ft. cord. It is a 4-prong twist-lock plug, so have an electrician confirm the receptacle.
4 zones per shelf, each with 15-3/8" x 21-3/4" of usable heated surface. 8 divider rods are included.
Hatco recommends food packaging that can withstand high temperatures, because the overhead elements are intense.
Yes. Wire guards sized for dual shelf -36 models are a factory option on Heated Zone Merchandisers. They are not available for export units.
Designer Black is standard. Warm Red, Gray Granite, White Granite, Navy Blue, Hunter Green and Antique Copper are factory options, and non-standard colors are non-returnable. Red LED post lighting, customer-side sneeze guards and plexiglass flip-up doors are also factory options.
Hatco gives an 18-month limited warranty from shipment or registration, whichever is later, with 24/7 parts and service assistance in the US and Canada. Glass and LED parts are excluded.
