A self-serve countertop warmer that shows wrapped hot food on slanted heated shelves and only heats the zones that hold product.
The Hatco HZMS-48D is a 52" wide slant dual shelf Heated Zone Merchandiser for convenience stores, concessions and grab-and-go counters. Each shelf has 4 overhead zones with fast ribbon elements, and Spot-On technology turns a zone's overhead heat on only when optical sensors see product there. The heated base drops to an energy-saving stand-by level when the zone is empty. It comes in Designer Black with LED lights above each shelf, divider rods, hinged glass side panels and a 6 ft. cord with a NEMA L14-20P plug.
Check that a NEMA L14-20P receptacle on a dedicated circuit is within reach of the 6 ft. cord at the left rear.
Optical sensors along each shelf tell the LCD controller where product sits, and only those of the 8 overhead zones heat. Empty zones fall back to stand-by.
Hatco rates the overhead ribbon elements to reach temperature in under 10 seconds once product is placed.
The slanted hardcoat shelves face product toward the customer. Each shelf has separate front and rear heating elements, factory set to 180°F.
Each shelf can run Sensors ON (zone heat), Sensors OFF (all elements on full time) or Lights Only. The LCD scans and shows each zone setting.
Hinged glass side panels swing out for cleaning, and the product divider rods hold in place with magnets for more usable heated surface.
Standard in Designer Black with IFS anti-microbial powder coat. Warm Red, Gray Granite, White Granite, Navy Blue, Hunter Green and Antique Copper are factory options.
120/208-240V single phase, 3,000 watts, 12.6 amps, on a dedicated circuit. It ships with a 6 ft. cord and a NEMA L14-20P plug; the receptacle is not included.
Overhead elements stay off until sensors detect product in a zone. With no product, the shelf elements run at stand-by power. Once product is placed, that zone heats at its set power level.
No. Hatco says food must be wrapped, boxed or on a food pan, and pre-heated to a safe temperature. The unit is for holding, not cooking.
Hatco presets the hardcoat shelf elements to 180°F, and you can change the setpoint, operating mode and overhead power percentage on the LCD controller.
Factory options at purchase: Designer colors, red LED accent lights in the support posts, wire guards, a 5" customer-side sneeze guard or plexi-glass flip-up doors (not in the same opening). Extra stainless divider rods can be added any time.
