Hatco QSWATERTREAT is a blended phosphate injection system for booster water heaters. It dispenses a small amount of polyphosphate into the incoming water to prevent the buildup of minerals. Hatco includes it as standard on Powermite gas boosters and recommends it for its Compact, Imperial and Mini-Compact electric boosters. It is not for potable water use.
Polyphosphate keeps minerals from building up, which Hatco notes increases unit efficiency.
Installs with unions on the 3/4" supply line between the pressure reducing valve and the booster.
Each cartridge is rated for 100,000 gallons; replace it when the compound nears the bottom.
