The Hatco UGAHL-24 is an Ultra-Glo high watt ceramic infrared strip heater with 2 shatter-resistant display lights. It is 24" wide and 9" deep, with a pre-focused heat pattern that puts more heat at the edges, where heat loss is greatest. The ceramic element lets you mount it higher, 17" to 22" above the counter, for more working room. It is rated 870 W and built for 120, 120/208 or 120/240V single phase, chosen when you order, and it ships with a toggle switch and indicator light in an attached control box or a remote control enclosure.
Hatco recommends a single unit for 12" to 16" deep pass-through areas; choose a dual unit for 20" to 24".
The ceramic element lets the heater hang 17" to 22" above the food, so cooks and servers get more working clearance.
Specially shaped reflectors concentrate heat at the edges of the holding area, where heat loss is greatest, so food does not overcook in the middle.
2 coated incandescent display lights light the food and guard against glass if a bulb breaks.
A continuous extruded aluminum housing with heavy-duty insulation will not sag and keeps the outside cooler.
Adjustable angle brackets set a 1", 1-1/2" or 2" gap under a shelf; tubular stands and overhead hanger posts are factory options.
Choose 120, 120/208 or 120/240V single phase when you order. It is rated 870 W at 120V, 870 W at 120/208V, 870 W at 120/240V and draws 7.3 A at 120V; 4.6 A at 120/208V; 4.1 A at 120/240V. On 120/208V and 120/240V units the lights run on 120V and the heating elements on 208V or 240V. It is hardwired, with no cord and plug.
Yes. It ships with a toggle switch and indicator light, either in an attached control box or in a remote control enclosure (RMB), chosen at order. An RMB with an electronic infinite control is optional (not for 240V with lights); infinite controls are not offered in the attached box.
Hatco lists 17" to 22" above a non-combustible counter for this high watt single unit. Keep it at least 1" below a shelf and 3" from the back wall, in non-combustible surroundings only.
Hatco recommends a single unit for a 12" to 16" deep pass-through and a dual unit for 20" to 24". Keep at least 3" between separate heaters mounted side by side.
Yes, at the time of purchase only. Clear anodized aluminum is standard; the housing, stands and remote box can be ordered in Warm Red, Black, Gray Granite, White Granite, Navy Blue, Hunter Green and Antique Copper Designer colors, or Radiant Red, Glossy Gray, Bold Black, Gleaming Gold and Brilliant Blue gloss finishes. Yes. Hatco Chef LED bulbs (3000K warm halogen look or 4000K cool fluorescent look) fit units with lights, rotated down, for pass-through use only, with UGAHL units 17" or higher above the surface.
Hatco's limited warranty runs 18 months from shipment or registration, whichever is later. Coated light bulbs are not covered. Register within 90 days of shipment.
