The Hatco UGAL-18 is an Ultra-Glo standard watt ceramic infrared strip heater with lights, 18" wide and 9" deep in a continuous extruded aluminum housing. Its ceramic heat source lets you mount it higher than a standard strip heater for more working room, and the pre-focused heat pattern concentrates heat at the edges where heat loss is greatest. One shatter-resistant incandescent light shows the food. It is rated 550 to 560 W depending on voltage, built for 120, 120/208, 120/240 or 240V single phase, chosen when you order.
Measure the shelf or pass-through: the housing is 18" long and 9" deep with a remote box, 12.88" deep with the attached control box.
The ceramic element lets you mount the heater higher, 14" to 18" above the counter, which gives cooks and servers more working clearance.
A pre-focused pyramidal heat pattern concentrates heat at the edges of the holding area, where heat loss is greatest.
1 coated incandescent display light, one per foot, light the food and guard it if a bulb breaks. A 60 W halogen bulb is an option.
Sturdy continuous extruded aluminum housings eliminate sagging, even on long runs.
Choose an attached control box or a remote control box (RMB). An RMB with an electronic infinite control is an option on remote boxes only, not on 240V models with lights.
Choose 120, 120/208, 120/240 or 240V single phase when you order. It draws 4.7 A at 120V; 2.9 A at 120/208V; 2.6 A at 120/240V; 2.3 A at 240V. The unit has no cord or plug and is hardwired by an electrician.
Yes. The price includes either an attached control box or a remote control box (RMB) with toggle switch and indicator light, chosen at order. Toggle switches handle circuits up to 15 A and infinite controls up to 12.2 A.
Hatco lists 14" to 18" above a non-combustible surface for standard watt models. Mount it at least 1" below a shelf and 3" from the back wall, and never above or around combustible surfaces. Allow 15 to 20 minutes to reach operating temperature.
Hatco says a single unit works for a 12" to 16" deep pass-through. For 20" to 24" deep, a dual unit is recommended.
Yes. Hatco Chef LED bulbs, CLED-3000-120 warm or CLED-4000-120 cool, fit UGAL and UGAHL models. They are for pass-through use only, rotated down, with the unit 14" or higher above the surface.

Designer colors are Warm Red, Black, Gray Granite, White Granite, Navy Blue, Hunter Green and Antique Copper; Gloss finishes are Radiant Red, Glossy Gray, Bold Black, Gleaming Gold and Brilliant Blue. Non-standard colors are non-returnable. Ask us for a quote.
Hatco's limited warranty runs 18 months from shipment or registration, whichever is later. Coated light bulbs and fuses are not covered. Register within 90 days of shipment.
