A 72" ceramic infrared strip heater with display lights that keeps a long pass-through hot from higher above the food.
The Hatco UGAL-72 is a 72" Ultra-Glo ceramic infrared strip heater with lights. A ceramic heating element in an extruded aluminum housing lets you mount it higher than a standard strip heater, so cooks and servers get more working room. Its pre-focused heat pattern covers the whole holding area, and 6 shatter-resistant incandescent lights show off the food. Voltage is set when you order: 120/208V (2,320 W) or 120/240V (2,360 W), single phase; the lights run on 120V and the heat on 208V or 240V.
Install only in non-combustible surroundings, and keep any remote control box outside the heat zone.
The ceramic element lets the unit hang higher than a standard strip heater, for more working clearance under it.
The heat pattern concentrates heat at the edges, where heat loss is greatest, so food at the sides holds as well as food in the middle.
The 72" continuous extruded aluminum housing does not sag. Clear anodized aluminum is standard.
6 coated, shatter-resistant incandescent bulbs light the food and guard against bulb breakage.
Toggle switch and indicator light come in an attached control box or a remote control enclosure.
UGAL-72 is built for 120/208V or 120/240V, single phase; pick the one that matches your building when you order. It draws 12.4 A at 120/208V and 11.3 A at 120/240V. A 120V-only version is not offered in this width.
Hatco recommends 14" to 18" above the food for standard watt single units like this one.
Adjustable angle brackets, leads in a 3 ft. conduit whip, and a toggle switch with indicator light in an attached control box or remote control enclosure.
Yes, at the time of purchase: Designer colors (Warm Red, Black, Gray Granite, White Granite, Navy Blue, Hunter Green, Antique Copper) and Gloss finishes (Glossy Gray, Bold Black, Gleaming Gold, Brilliant Blue, Radiant Red). Clear anodized aluminum is standard. Non-standard colors are non-returnable.
Hatco's limited warranty runs 18 months from shipment or product registration, whichever is later. Light bulbs are not covered.
The spec sheet shows cULus (for 120, 120/208 and 120/240 volt models) and NSF marks, and a Made in USA mark.
