Questions buyers ask
What electrical service does it need?
It runs on 220V 3-phase power. Marra Forni does not list the amp draw for this model, so check the nameplate with your electrician. The mixer has a power cable on its side; any plug or switch not supplied by Marra Forni must match the nameplate rating, and the machine must be connected through a manual disconnect.
Will it fit in my kitchen?
It measures about 21" wide, 33" deep and 30" high (rounded to the nearest inch by Marra Forni) and weighs 243 lb. Place it on a flat, solid floor with room to reach every side for cleaning and service, and measure doorways on the delivery path.
How much dough does it make per batch?
Marra Forni rates it for 44 kg (97 lb.) of dough and 66 lb. of flour in a 53 qt. bowl.
Fork mixer or spiral mixer?
Marra Forni says spiral mixers handle a wider variety of doughs and cut mixing time about in half compared with fork mixers, while fork mixers are better for high-hydration doughs. Both keep dough cooler than high-friction mixing.
What can I mix in it?
Marra Forni designed its mixers for flour-and-water doughs for pizza, bread and other baked goods. Using it for anything else is treated as misuse and voids the warranty.
What should the electrician check at startup?
After connecting the 3-phase supply, check that the bowl turns in the direction of the arrow on the machine. If it does not, swap two supply wires as the manual describes.
How do I maintain it?
Clean the parts that touch dough daily and the whole machine weekly with a mild detergent for food machines, with the power disconnected. Check the power cord at least once a month and use only original spare parts.
Why is there no price on this page?
Marra Forni equipment is quoted per order. Call (201) 467-8222 or request a quote for current pricing, lead time and freight to your ZIP code.
What does the warranty cover?
Marra Forni's mixer manual lists a one-year parts and labor warranty from the date of purchase, excluding damage from improper installation, maintenance, misuse or tampering. Repairs must be done by an authorized technician. Ask us for the current terms with your quote.
