Run a Turbofan full-size electric convection oven without a ducted hood.
The Moffat Turbofan VH32 is a ventless condensing hood made by Halton for Turbofan E32D and E32T electric convection ovens. It sits on top of the oven, pulls the oven vent through a condensing heat exchanger and three filters, and plugs into a standard 120V outlet. It suits food courts, convenience stores, stadiums, bars and older buildings where adding a duct is hard. The oven and stand are sold separately.

This hood only works with the Turbofan ovens listed. Measure doorways on the delivery path against the carton, and confirm hood requirements with your local inspector.
No duct, no canopy

Questions buyers ask
Which ovens does it fit?
Only Turbofan E32D4, E32D5, E32T4 and E32T5 electric convection ovens built after week 4 of 2021. It is not for gas ovens or other brands, because it connects to the oven controller and sits over the oven vent.
Does it replace a Type 1 hood?
Moffat says it removes the need for a canopy or ducted oven hood and meets the EPA 202 test method for less than 5 mg/m3 grease-laden effluent when fitted to a matching Turbofan oven. The installation must follow NFPA 96 and your local code, and the local authority has the final say, so confirm with your inspector before ordering.
What power does it need?
A grounded 110-120V outlet for its 6 ft NEMA 5-15P cord. The 2023 manual rates it at 1.6 A (1.0 A on the 2021 spec sheet). The oven keeps its own power supply.
Do I need a drain or water line?
No water line. Condensate runs into a collection pan under the oven that you empty, or you can run the supplied 6 ft, 3/8" hose to a waste drain.
Who installs it?
A qualified technician. The VHIK32 kit has to be fitted to the oven, including an interlock harness wired into the oven control board, and the hood function is enabled in the oven settings. The manual calls for 4 people to lift the hood onto the oven.
How do I maintain it?
Wash the baffle and mesh filters and the drip tray weekly with detergent, and replace the charcoal filter (H11715 (10" x 10" x 1")) every quarter.
How much space does it add?
The hood is 29.25" wide, 40" deep and 14.5" high and overhangs the oven. Allow 3" of extra rear clearance and check the ceiling height above the oven.
