Description
A 14.5" wide radiant charbroiler with a full 23" deep cooking area, for kitchens short on line space.
The RB-815 is the narrowest model in Royal's Delux RB radiant broiler series: two 14,500 BTU cast iron burners heat cast iron radiants under two-position cast iron grates. It suits restaurants, grills and bars that need a dedicated charbroiler in a 14.5" slot. Order it for natural gas or propane; the pressure regulator comes with the unit.

Questions buyers ask
Does it run on natural gas or propane?
Either. Pick Natural Gas or Liquid Propane (LP) before adding it to the cart; Royal builds it for the gas you specify. Tell us your elevation if you are above 2,000 feet.
How many BTU is it?
29,000 BTU/hr total: two cast iron burners rated at 14,500 BTU/hr each (2 x 14,500 = 29,000).
What gas connection does it need?
A 3/4" NPT connection at the right rear of the unit. Manifold pressure is 5" W.C. for natural gas and 10" W.C. for propane, and the regulator ships with the unit for your installer to connect.
Can it go next to a wood or drywall wall?
No. Royal's spec sheet says it is for installation in non-combustible locations only, with 0" clearance to non-combustible walls. Combustible-wall installation is not listed.
Does it need an electrical outlet?
No electrical connection is listed. It runs on gas with manual valves.
What grate options are there?
It comes with two-position cast iron grates. Royal offers 3/8" round or square rod grates in steel or stainless steel and cast iron criss-cross (diamond) grates as options; call us to add one.
What does the warranty cover?
Royal's limited warranty is 2 years on parts and 1 year on labor from installation (up to 30 months from manufacture); cast iron parts are covered for 90 days. The spec sheet also lists a "fully welded frame with lifetime warranty"; Royal's warranty page does not detail that term, so ask us to confirm it with Royal.
How do I clean it?
Daily, clean the grates with warm water, a mild cleaner and a wire brush, brush debris from around the burners, and empty the drip pan. Wipe stainless steel with hot soapy water; don't use steel wool or abrasive powders.
